Mischief Hours has no accounts, no ads, no chat and no sign-up. You never type anything into it.
- On your device only: your best score, number of days played, how many mischiefs you have finished (for coat unlocks) and last coat colour are saved in your browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes them. They stay on your device and are not sent anywhere.
- Anonymous counts: the game sends a few event names ("loaded", "first move", "first mischief", "mischief done", "day ended", "share clicked", and "returning", which is sent when this browser has played here before) to this site's own server so we can see whether the game works. No cookies, no ID, no name, no email, no device fingerprint. Like any web server, the host keeps ordinary request logs that include an IP address for a short time. The ping endpoint keeps a per-minute request counter in memory to block floods; it is not stored or logged.
- No third parties: the game loads no external scripts, fonts, images or trackers. Sounds are generated in your browser.
- Share card: the picture is drawn on your device. It is only shared if you press the share or save button.
